Using Zuno

What can I do with Zuno?

You can plan meals with Zuno AI, save recipes, organise the week, search supermarket products, compare matched prices, use Shopping Lists, Watchlist and Pantry, scan barcodes and review available retailer price history.

What is the difference between Watchlist, Shopping List and Pantry?

Watchlist is for products you want to follow or revisit. A Shopping List is for products you plan to buy for a particular shop. Pantry is for products you already have and may later need to restock.

Can I make more than one shopping list?

Yes. Multiple shopping lists are available on the free plan. Free users can add up to 10 products on their shopping list and up to 5 on their watchlist; Zuno+ includes unlimited products on both.

How does barcode scanning work?

Use your phone camera to scan the barcode on a product. Zuno checks its catalogue for a matching barcode. If a match is available, you can open the product and add it to a watchlist or shopping list.

Why was my barcode not found?

The product may be new, retailer-specific, use a barcode not yet in Zuno's catalogue, or have incomplete source data. Contact us with the barcode, product name and pack size if you want to report it.

Does Zuno buy products or place supermarket orders?

No. Zuno helps you search, organise and review product information. Purchases are still made through or at the supermarket.

AI meal planning

Zuno AI and Chat Meal Creator

What is Zuno AI?

Zuno AI is the name for Zuno's AI-assisted meal-planning capabilities. It includes Chat Meal Creator, AI help in the Manual Meal Builder, recipe refinement and budget-aware meal planning.

What is Chat Meal Creator?

Chat Meal Creator is the conversational part of Zuno AI. Start with a dish or request, answer any useful follow-up questions and refine the generated recipe in ordinary language.

Can I create a meal without using chat?

Yes. The Manual Meal Builder lets you enter your own meal, ingredients and instructions. You can use AI suggestions for ingredients or instructions only when they are useful.

Can I save and reuse an AI-created meal?

Yes. Save the finished recipe to Saved Meals, reopen its details, continue the associated planner chat and place it into the Weekly Meal Planner.

Can Zuno AI plan to a budget?

You can ask for a meal under a stated amount or request a budget check. The result is an estimate based on available matched products, not a guaranteed checkout total.

Is an AI-generated recipe guaranteed to be safe?

No. Zuno AI can make mistakes. Independently check ingredients, allergens, cooking times, temperatures, storage, reheating and suitability for everyone eating the meal. See the Zuno AI terms.

What meal information does Zuno keep?

Zuno may keep chat messages, meal names, preferences you provide, saved meals and generated recipe content so it can provide and improve the meal-planning experience. See the Privacy Policy.

Plans and pricing

What each plan includes

Is Zuno free?

Yes. Zuno User is free and includes product search, up to 5 products on your watchlist, up to 10 products on your shopping list, up to 3 Zuno AI chats per week, barcode scanning and up to 8 weeks of available price history.

What is Zuno+?

Zuno+ costs $5 per month. It includes everything in the free plan, unlimited products on shopping lists and your watchlist, up to 25 Zuno AI chats per week, early access to new releases, and up to 6 months of available price history.

What is Zuno for Business?

Zuno for Business is for brands and teams that need product tracking, up to 1 year of available price history and deeper product, competitor or category analysis. Contact sales to discuss access and pricing.

Can I buy the Business plan online?

Not as a fixed self-serve plan. Business needs vary by category and data coverage, so we first discuss the products and analysis you need.

Does Zuno+ have different shopping-list features?

Both plans include search, Watchlist, Shopping Lists, barcode scanning and Zuno AI. Free users can save up to 10 products on their shopping list and 5 on their watchlist, with up to 3 Zuno AI chats per week. Zuno+ removes those list limits, raises Zuno AI to 25 chats per week, and adds early access plus a longer 6-month history window.

Price history

How the data works

Does every product have 8 weeks, 6 months or 1 year of history?

No. Your plan sets the maximum period you can view. The actual history depends on when Zuno began collecting the product and how frequently the retailer data is updated.

Which supermarket has long-term price history?

Coles price history is the most established in Zuno. Woolworths price history, Aldi price history and IGA price history are building as feeds become more frequent.

Why might a supermarket show less history than my plan allows?

The product may be new, recently added to Zuno, changed by the retailer, or come from a feed that has only recently become frequent enough to build useful history.

Can I compare prices between supermarkets?

Yes. Zuno supports supermarket comparison and supermarket price comparison where the same product can be reliably matched — for example, between Coles and Woolworths. See supermarket price comparison for details.

Does Zuno predict future sales?

No. Zuno shows observed historical prices. Past sale frequency can be reviewed, but it does not tell us when a retailer or brand will run a future promotion.

Are recorded prices guaranteed to match the supermarket?

No. Prices can change and may vary by location, account, loyalty program, stock or timing. Confirm the current price and product details with the supermarket before buying.

Can price history tell me whether I should buy?

It can provide useful background, but the decision depends on whether you need the product, your budget, the current supermarket offer and other personal factors.

Business use

Competitor and category questions

What competitor insights can Zuno provide?

Where enough Coles history is available, a business can review how often a competitor product appeared at a reduced recorded price, the duration of observed sale periods and the price points used.

How can this help a brand entering FMCG?

A new brand can review historical activity in a category, including sale frequency, price ranges and periods of heavier competitor activity. This can support category research before or during a supermarket launch.

Can Zuno help a company reassess its sales strategy?

Historical product activity can help a team compare its promotion frequency and price points with other products. It should be used with margin, retailer terms, customer research and internal sales information.

Does Zuno know a competitor's strategy?

No. Zuno shows observed product and price history, not internal plans, costs, trade terms or future promotion schedules.

Is business analysis currently available for every supermarket?

The established long-term history is currently for Coles. Other supermarket data is becoming more frequent, but the same depth of long-term analysis is not yet available everywhere.
