These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this application and related services. By accessing or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Important — Zuno AI, Chat Meal Creator and food safety: Zuno AI uses artificial intelligence to suggest recipes, ingredients and cooking instructions. AI can make mistakes. You must independently check that any recipe is food safe before you prepare, cook, store, reheat or serve it — including cooking temperatures, times, cross-contamination, allergens and suitability for everyone who will eat the meal. Zuno does not provide medical, nutritional or food-safety advice. See section 12 for full terms.

12. Zuno AI, Chat Meal Creator, AI-Generated Recipes and Food Safety
Zuno AI — including Chat Meal Creator, the Manual Meal Builder, AI ingredient suggestions, AI instruction generator and related features — uses artificial intelligence to help you plan meals. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree to the following.
12.1 AI can make mistakes
- AI-generated content may be wrong, incomplete, inconsistent, outdated, misleading or unsuitable for your circumstances.
- Outputs may include incorrect ingredients, quantities, substitutions, cooking steps, temperatures, times, utensils, storage guidance, reheating instructions, allergen information, nutritional information or cost estimates.
- The same prompt may produce different results at different times. Saved or previously generated recipes may also contain errors.
- We do not guarantee that AI outputs are accurate, complete, current or appropriate for any purpose.
12.2 Not professional advice
- Zuno AI content is for general convenience and inspiration only. It is not medical, nutritional, dietary, allergen, paediatric, pregnancy, food-science or food-safety advice.
- We are not a substitute for a qualified health professional, accredited practising dietitian, doctor, allergist or food-safety authority.
- If you have allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, religious or cultural dietary requirements, or other health-related needs, you must obtain appropriate professional advice and must not rely on the app alone.
12.3 You must verify food safety before cooking or serving
- You are solely responsible for deciding whether a recipe is safe to prepare, cook, store, reheat and serve, and for every meal you make using the app.
- Before you cook or serve any AI-generated or AI-assisted recipe, you must independently double-check the ingredients, method and instructions against reliable food-safety sources — including product labels, manufacturer instructions, and guidance from Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), state and territory health departments, and other authoritative sources.
- You must verify, at a minimum: safe internal cooking temperatures; adequate cooking times; safe handling of raw meat, poultry, seafood, eggs and dairy; prevention of cross-contamination; safe cooling and refrigeration; safe storage and use-by periods; safe reheating; and whether ingredients are safe for everyone who will eat the meal.
- Do not consume food you reasonably believe may be undercooked, contaminated, spoiled, incorrectly stored or otherwise unsafe, even if the app suggested it.
12.4 Allergens, dietary needs and vulnerable people
- Do not rely on the app to identify, avoid or manage allergens or dietary restrictions. AI may omit allergens, suggest unsafe substitutions, or fail to account for cross-contact risks.
- Always read product labels and confirm ingredients yourself before buying, preparing or serving food.
- Take extra care where meals are prepared for children, infants, elderly people, pregnant people, or anyone who is immunocompromised or otherwise at higher risk from foodborne illness.
- If you tell the app about allergies, intolerances or preferences, that information may still be misunderstood, ignored or applied incorrectly by the AI.
12.5 Your use of Zuno AI
- You must provide accurate information when describing allergies, intolerances, dietary needs or other restrictions, and you must not use Zuno AI in a way that could endanger yourself or others.
- You must not represent AI-generated recipes as professionally verified, medically approved, allergen-free or guaranteed food safe.
- We may change, limit, suspend or remove Zuno AI features at any time.
12.6 No warranty on recipes
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no representation or warranty that any recipe, ingredient list, instruction, tip, nutrition estimate, cost estimate or other Zuno AI output is safe, wholesome, suitable, legal to prepare in your location, or fit for consumption.
- You use Zuno AI and any recipe content at your own risk.
13. Third-Party Services
- The app may depend on third-party services, such as payment processing, email delivery, hosting, push notifications, analytics, storage, or artificial intelligence tools.
- Those third-party services are operated by others and may have their own terms, policies, limits, and outages.
- We are not responsible for delays, failures, interruptions, or losses caused by third-party services outside our control.
- Zuno AI may use third-party AI providers to generate recipe content. We do not control how those providers process requests and do not guarantee their outputs.
14. Data and Privacy
- We may collect, use, store, and process information about your account, device, usage, support requests, and interactions with the app.
- We may also store logs and audit records for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, analytics, and service improvement.
- You should review our Privacy Policy for more information about how personal information is handled.
- By using the app, you consent to the handling of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
15. Security and Abuse Prevention
- We may monitor usage, log activity, apply rate limits, and use other protective measures to keep the app secure, fair, and reliable.
- We may intentionally rate limit or throttle requests, features, uploads, or automated activity to protect the service, prevent downtime, and reduce abuse.
- We may block, delay, or reject requests that appear suspicious, abusive, excessive, or inconsistent with normal use.
- We may investigate suspected misuse, unauthorised access, or policy violations and take action where needed.
16. Suspension and Termination
- We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the app at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or created a security, legal, or operational risk.
- If your access ends, you must stop using the app and any restricted materials, features, or content obtained through it.
- Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will continue to apply.
17. Intellectual Property
- The app, including its design, software, branding, text, graphics, and underlying functionality, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law.
- You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the app except where we have expressly allowed it.
- You may not use our branding or materials in a way that suggests approval, endorsement, or affiliation unless we have agreed to it in writing.
18. Disclaimers
- The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law.
- We do not guarantee that the app will meet your needs, be error-free, or always be available.
- Any information, recommendations, or outputs generated by the app — including AI-generated recipes, ingredients, instructions, nutrition information and cost estimates — are provided for convenience only. You must review and verify them yourself before relying on them.
- Without limiting section 12, we do not warrant that any app content is accurate, complete, current, food safe, allergen safe, nutritionally appropriate or suitable for any person or occasion.
19. Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of the app.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for illness, injury, allergic reaction, anaphylaxis, food poisoning, choking, property damage, or any other harm arising from the preparation, consumption, storage, reheating or serving of food based on app content — including AI-generated or AI-assisted recipes — or from your failure to independently verify food safety.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the app will be limited to the amount you paid to use the app in the relevant period, or the minimum amount allowed by law if no payment was made.
- Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
20. Changes to the App or Terms
- We may update the app, change features, or modify these terms from time to time.
- If we make material changes, we may provide notice where reasonably practical.
- Your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
21. General
- If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect.
- Our failure to enforce any part of these terms is not a waiver of our rights.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in the place where the service is supplied will also apply.
22. Contact
- If you have questions about these terms, please contact us through the app's support or contact channels.
