These terms are a working website version and should be reviewed by an Australian lawyer before public launch. Nothing in them excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. About Zuno
Zuno provides supermarket product search, product watchlists, shopping lists, barcode lookup, price history and related product-analysis services. Zuno does not operate the supermarkets shown in the service and, unless expressly stated otherwise, does not sell the listed products.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and take reasonable steps to keep your login details secure. You must tell us promptly if you believe somebody has accessed your account without permission.
If you use Zuno on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.
3. Plans
Zuno User
Zuno User is the free plan. At launch it includes supermarket product search, up to 5 products on your watchlist, up to 10 products on your shopping list, up to 3 Zuno AI chats per week, barcode scanning and access to up to 8 weeks of available price history.
Zuno+
Zuno+ costs $5 per month unless a different price or billing arrangement is clearly shown before purchase. It includes the Zuno User features, unlimited products on shopping lists and your watchlist, up to 25 Zuno AI chats per week, early access to new releases, access to Zuno AI, and access to up to 6 months of available price history.
Zuno for Business
Zuno for Business is arranged through our sales team. Features may include product tracking, access to up to 1 year of available price history, product analysis and competitor or category sale-frequency analysis. Pricing, scope, permitted users and any additional terms will be agreed separately.
4. History windows and data availability
A plan's history window is the maximum period the plan allows you to view. It does not mean every product or retailer has data covering the full period.
At the date of these terms, Coles has the established long-term price history in Zuno. Other supermarket feeds are becoming more frequent and their histories are building from the data available. A product may also have less history because it is new, was recently added or changed in a retailer's catalogue.
5. Product, price and retailer information
Zuno collects and presents information from retailers and other sources. Product names, barcodes, prices, promotions, stock, pack sizes, images and availability can change or contain errors.
Prices may vary by store, postcode, delivery area, account, loyalty program, purchase method or time. You must confirm the current product, price and terms directly with the supermarket before buying.
Price history describes observations available to Zuno. It is not a prediction, price guarantee, recommendation to purchase or statement about a retailer's future promotion plans.
6. Barcode scanning
Barcode scanning attempts to match a scanned code with a product in Zuno's catalogue. A scan may return no result or an incorrect result where source data is missing, outdated or inconsistent. You should confirm the product name, size and retailer listing before relying on a match.
7. Shopping lists and watchlists
Watchlists and shopping lists are organisation tools. You remain responsible for reviewing list contents, product suitability, dietary or allergy information, current availability and final retailer prices.
8. Zuno AI, Chat Meal Creator and AI-generated recipes
Food safety warning: Zuno AI uses artificial intelligence. AI can make mistakes. You must independently verify that any recipe is food safe before you cook, store, reheat or serve it. Read our Terms and Conditions (section 12) for the full terms.
Zuno AI — including Chat Meal Creator, the Manual Meal Builder and related AI features — helps you plan meals by suggesting ingredients, instructions, utensils, timing and other recipe content. That content is generated or assisted by artificial intelligence and is provided for convenience and inspiration only.
AI outputs may be incorrect, incomplete or unsafe. They are not medical, nutritional, dietary or food-safety advice, and are not a substitute for reading product labels or following guidance from qualified professionals and authoritative food-safety sources such as Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).
You are solely responsible for checking every recipe before use. That includes verifying ingredients, quantities, substitutions, cooking methods, internal temperatures, cooking and resting times, cross-contamination risks, storage and reheating instructions, allergens, and whether the meal is suitable for everyone who will eat it — especially children, pregnant people, elderly people, immunocompromised people, and anyone with allergies or intolerances.
Do not rely on Zuno to identify or manage allergens. Always confirm ingredients on product packaging yourself. If you tell the app about allergies or dietary needs, the AI may still misunderstand or apply that information incorrectly.
To the extent permitted by law, Zuno is not liable for illness, injury, allergic reaction, food poisoning or other harm arising from food prepared using AI-generated or AI-assisted recipe content, or from your failure to independently verify food safety. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Business analysis
Business analysis is based on observed historical product and price data. It may help users review sale frequency, price movement and category activity, but it does not disclose a competitor's internal strategy, costs, margins, retailer agreements or future plans.
Business users are responsible for deciding how to use the information and should combine it with their own commercial, legal, financial, customer and retailer information.
10. Paid subscriptions
Paid subscription prices, billing periods and included features will be shown before purchase or set out in a Business agreement. Subscription fees may be processed by a third-party payment provider.
You may cancel a recurring personal subscription through the available account or billing controls. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless applicable law or the purchase terms require otherwise.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Zuno unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm another person;
- attempt to access another person's account or restricted systems;
- interfere with the security, availability or operation of the service;
- upload malicious code or content that infringes another person's rights;
- use automated tools to extract or reproduce substantial parts of Zuno without written permission; or
- misrepresent your relationship with Zuno, a retailer or another business.
12. Your content and feedback
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Zuno permission to host, process, reproduce and display that content as reasonably needed to operate, support, secure and improve the service.
If you provide feedback or suggestions, Zuno may use them without payment or restriction, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
13. Zuno intellectual property
The Zuno branding, software, design and original content are owned by or licensed to Zuno. You receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose while your account remains active and you comply with these terms.
14. Service changes
Zuno may add, change, suspend or remove features and retailer coverage. We will take reasonable steps to provide notice where a change materially reduces a paid service, unless urgent legal, security or operational reasons make advance notice impractical.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Zuno at any time. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements or a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
16. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights, guarantees or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
To the extent permitted by law, Zuno is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost opportunity, retailer stock or fulfilment, or decisions made solely from product or price information. Where liability for a statutory guarantee can lawfully be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant service or paying the reasonable cost of having it supplied again.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The courts of Victoria and courts entitled to hear appeals from them have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service, plans, law or business operations change. The updated version will show a revised date. We will provide additional notice where a change is material.
19. Contact
