About Zuno

We want to make supermarket shopping easier to organise.

Zuno is an Australian app for supermarket comparison — bringing product search, supermarket price comparison, watchlists, shopping lists, barcode scanning and retailer price history together.

Why we are building it

A normal shop can involve a lot of small tasks

People search for products, compare what they remember from last week, keep lists in different places and try to find the exact item again later.

Zuno brings those tasks into one app. It does not try to decide what somebody should buy. It gives them a useful place to organise the information they already use.

Being clear about the data

Not every supermarket has the same history yet

Coles currently has the established long-term price history in Zuno. Other supermarket updates are becoming more frequent, and their histories will grow as regular collection continues.

We would rather explain that clearly than suggest every product already has a complete 6-month or 1-year record.

Coles

Established long-term history

Supports the fullest current business analysis.

Other supermarkets

History is building

More frequent updates will make these views more useful over time.

How we think about Zuno

Useful, understandable and honest about its limits

Useful

Each feature should help with a normal shopping task, not exist just to fill a dashboard.

Understandable

People should be able to tell what a number means and where the information came from.

Honest

Coverage, history and retailer data have limits. Those limits should be explained in plain language.

Where it can grow

More useful history and better shopping tools over time

As retailer updates become more frequent and the product catalogue grows, Zuno can provide more complete histories and better product matching. Zuno+ users will get early access to new releases as they become ready.
