Supermarket price history

Look back before you add it to the list.

Zuno records available supermarket prices over time — from Coles price history and Woolworths price history to Aldi price history and IGA price history. Use that history to see recent changes and understand how often a product has appeared at a different price.

What is recorded

A history of available product prices

When Zuno receives an updated product price from a supported supermarket source, that observation can become part of the product's history.

$

Recorded price

The price Zuno received for that product at that point in time.

D

Date and movement

The timing of observations and how the recorded price changed during the available window.

P

Promotion patterns

For business analysis, a longer history can help show how often a product has appeared on sale.

For everyday users

Use recent history as one part of your decision

The free plan gives you up to 8 weeks of available history. That covers several normal shopping cycles and can help answer simple questions.

  • Has the recorded price changed recently?
  • Was the product at a similar price a few weeks ago?
  • Do I want to add it to this week's list or leave it on my watchlist?
  • Is there enough history available to draw a useful conclusion?

It is still important to check the current supermarket price and product details before buying.

Retailer coverage

Long-term history is currently strongest for Coles

Coles is the supermarket for which Zuno currently has the established long-term price history needed for the fullest 6-month and 1-year views. Woolworths price history, Aldi price history and IGA price history are building as collection becomes more frequent.

Other supermarkets are now being updated more frequently. Their histories will become more useful as regular observations build up, but they may not yet fill the maximum window included with a plan.

For example: A Business account may allow a 1-year view, but a product that has only been collected reliably for 10 weeks can only show those 10 weeks.

For business analysis

Use longer history to review sales activity

A year of available history can help a brand or category team review how often products have appeared on sale and how activity has changed over time.

Competitor frequency

Review how often a competing product has appeared at a reduced recorded price at Coles.

Category activity

Look across products in a category to see periods with more or less promotional activity.

Sales planning

Use the historical view as one input when reassessing promotion timing or preparing an FMCG launch.

Zuno provides historical product and pricing information. It does not know a retailer's future promotion schedule and should not be treated as a forecast.
